Funk group of American origin. Since 1963, they performed under diverse names such as Blue Morning, Orpheus and Pasadena Ghetto Orchestra. When the group came to the Netherlands in 1972 and settled in Limburg, the line-up was: Joe Skeete (v, g, b), Michael Hamane (v, g), Lorenzo Mills (v, in 1980 to Max'n'Specs), Ricardo James (dr), David Harrell (v, g, s, fl) and Steve Clissby (s, p, o). During their American period, individual members recorded sessions with famous people: Barry White, The Byrds, Young Rascals, Frank Zappa, Jefferson Airplane, Dr. John and Santana. After 1977, a number of line-up changes took place, especially in the vocal department. The new drummer was Elout Smit (to Delrose and Streetlight). In 1978, Omar Dupree and Jetty Weels (ex-Sacha & Paul) assumed the vocal duties; both were ex-Rockaway Boulevard. In 1979, they were succeeded by Lisa Schulte (ex-Navel, in 1980 to the Houseband). In 1981, the line-up was: Joe Skeete (v, g, b), Steve Clissby (s, o, p), Steve Yellick (o, p) and Dennis Whitbread (dr, ex-Scene).
